Shore Leave

February 20, 2026 at 7:00pm - 10:00pm

William and Jessica invite you to Shore Leave — an immersive, 1940s wartime-era themed evening of swing music, classic cocktails, and vintage charm. This is a festive, social gathering inspired by the joy, style, and togetherness of the swing era, designed for connection, play, and discovery.

As you step through the front door, swing music floats through the air and the room glows with warm light. Friends greet you in polka dots, suspenders, uniforms, and vintage flair, smiling as if they’ve stepped out of another time. Across the room, a dance floor comes alive — a swing dance instructor inviting anyone curious to try a few joyful steps, while others watch, clap, and chat from nearby chairs with cocktails in hand.

In the kitchen, the spread waits like a small victory — time-period inspired bites, comforting favorites, and little indulgences meant to be shared. The bartender welcomes you with an easy smile and a classic cocktail, stirred and served with just enough ceremony to feel special. In the living room, guests gather around playful activities, lighthearted challenges, and conversation starters that make it easy to meet new people, trade stories, laugh, and connect. Each room offers something a little different — a new moment, a new interaction, a new reason to linger just a little longer.

This evening is not about performing or keeping up — it’s about wandering, discovering, and enjoying the experience at your own pace. About stepping briefly into another world together. About music, warmth, curiosity, laughter, and the quiet magic of a thoughtfully designed night among good people.

Contribute

Each evening is thoughtfully composed — from the interactive exhibits and layered lighting to the music selected with care. The bar and table are no afterthought; they are part of the design. Contributions help fund properly crafted cocktails and well-kept provisions so the experience remains generous, considered, and beautifully arranged. Your support ensures the evening feels effortless, even if it never is.

Photos

The evening will be documented with care. A photographer will capture moments as the night unfolds, and images will be uploaded to the private album throughout the event. Guests are welcome to contribute their own photographs as well — a shared record of the atmosphere, the attire, and the discoveries made along the way.
